Session Description
This session describes a series of workshops for college faculty who teach online courses for students in the Pacific Islands. These workshops aim to accomplish the following four goals: (1) To provide faculty with strategies to facilitate the delivery of online instruction in regions with limited internet infrastructure; (2) To help faculty identify and enact culturally sustaining pedagogy through online instruction in the Pacific; (3) To provide ongoing support and professional development for faculty who teach online courses; and (4) To contribute to the existing field of research on culturally sustaining pedagogy in online platforms.
